That line, "you are mine; I am my own," changed how I read everything that came before it. It feels like the poem isn't really choosing between love and freedom, it refuses to separate them.

I feel the longing but also the acceptance in this. It’s on the cusp but not quite there yet. It’s waiting. But it’s not. Who knows what the future holds.
